General

Section titled “Is KOBI free?”During beta, yes — with a generous monthly quota. You’ll see a banner well before you hit any limit.
Where is my data stored?
Section titled “Where is my data stored?”All project data, documents, and search indexes live in encrypted, project-scoped storage. You can export anything at any time, and full account deletion removes everything.
Which AI does KOBI use?
Section titled “Which AI does KOBI use?”KOBI picks the best model for each task automatically — fast models for chat, deeper models for analysis, specialised ones for transcription and document reading. You can override the default behaviour per agent in Settings → Default model preferences.
Canvas
Section titled “Canvas”My canvas froze. What now?
Section titled “My canvas froze. What now?”Refresh the page. Realtime reconnects automatically and your local edits sync. If a board reliably freezes for everyone, please report it via Send feedback with a board link.
Why did my node disappear?
Section titled “Why did my node disappear?”Either it was deleted (check Activity) or moved off-viewport (press F to fit the canvas). Deleted nodes are recoverable from the project trash for 30 days.
How big can a board get?
Section titled “How big can a board get?”Hundreds of nodes work smoothly. Above ~1000 we recommend splitting into multiple boards for performance and your own sanity.
Knowledge
Section titled “Knowledge”My document is stuck on PROCESSING.
Section titled “My document is stuck on PROCESSING.”Text extraction can take a few minutes for large PDFs. After 10 minutes without progress, it’s stalled — re-upload and contact support if the second attempt also stalls.
Why doesn’t the agent cite my document?
Section titled “Why doesn’t the agent cite my document?”Two common reasons:
- The document status isn’t
READYyet. - Your question doesn’t match the document content well enough. Try asking with the document’s actual terminology.
Can I rebuild the index without deleting the file?
Section titled “Can I rebuild the index without deleting the file?”Yes — from the document detail panel, Re-index rebuilds the searchable content. Delete removes both the file and its index.
Collaboration
Section titled “Collaboration”How many people can edit a board at once?
Section titled “How many people can edit a board at once?”Practically, around 20 active cursors stay smooth. The system itself doesn’t hard-cap.
Can I work offline?
Section titled “Can I work offline?”Yes for canvas edits — your changes are queued locally and sync when you reconnect. Knowledge ingestion and AI responses require the network.
Can I share with someone outside my workspace?
Section titled “Can I share with someone outside my workspace?”Yes — generate a share link from any board, with optional expiry and domain restrictions. Shared sessions are read-only and sandboxed to that board.
Billing
Section titled “Billing”Who gets billed for AI usage?
Section titled “Who gets billed for AI usage?”The project owner. If your teammate runs a long workshop with a heavy model, you’re not personally on the hook.
Can I cap monthly spend?
Section titled “Can I cap monthly spend?”Yes — set a hard cap in Settings → Plan & usage. We will pause AI calls (not realtime or knowledge ingestion) when the cap is hit.
